1. Sous Chef (full-time)
As a Sous Chef you would oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, customer service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.You would possess a strong attitude yet be able to interact with staff and customers easily. You would be particular in creating and maintaining an inviting and well managed kitchen.
You would be responsible for quality, plate presentation, labour cost, food cost, menu's, budgets and costs. You would manage kitchen compliance of health and safety regulations, report directly to the Chef and Owners and should expect to work full-time, including evenings.
You will be a hands-on Sous Chef ensuring a positive work environment- ensuring consistency, quality, and plate presentation- control food and labour costs- maintain budgeted sales and costs- manage kitchen compliance of health and safety regulations
- Kitchen management experience
- Type "A" attitude
- An understanding of food and labour costs
- An ability to foster a team atmosphere
- Verbal communication skills
$24,000-$36,000 depending on experience
The Whitetooth Mountain Bistro operates four businesses at a central location in downtown Golden, British Columbia - a small resort community which attracts a thousands of tourists in the summer and winter months. Surrounded by four of Canada's finest national parks, Golden is renowned for its golf, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, rafting, hang gliding and other outdoor pursuits.

a) Whitetooth Mountain Bistro – an upscale\casual-style restaurant serving high-quality inspired cuisine
b) Rockwater Grill & Bar - a large venue with live music shows, private and other events
c) Catering by Whitetooth - for wedding and events from 15-300 people
d) Carlito's pizza shop - Serving pizza and other pub foods
