Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities for this position include:
Develop complete understanding of the company's quality control program, standards, procedures and codes.
Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work.
Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related documents ensuring correctness of all documents on a project by project basis.
Assist in the preparation and implementation of quality control procedures, inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment.
Assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedule with other department schedules.
Participate in internal and external quality control audits.
Assist in reviewing purchase documents to ensure compliance with quality control requirements.
Develop procedures and application of welding equipment to problems involving fabrication of metals, utilizing knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals and metal alloys,
Establish welding procedures to guide production and welding personnel relating to specification restrictions, material processes, pre and post heating requirements which involve use of complex alloys, unusual fabrication methods, welding of critical joints and complex post heating and stress relieving requirements.
Other duties as assigned by management.
The candidate should have the following qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector - mandatory
Engineering Technologist, Certified Engineering Technologist (CET)
Certifications: 1. Certified Registered Welding Inspector; 2. Certified CWB Welder; 3. Certified Registered Welding Inspector 4. Welding Supervisor
Strong communication and negotiation skills, be highly motivated, self-starting individual with the ability to plan, organize and work independently.
Solid understanding of Non-Destructive Testing techniques including ultrasonic inspection, penetrant inspection, magnetic particle inspection etc.
Experience in managing NCR processes (Non-Conformance Report)
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite and Excel
Ability to travel globally.
Additional languages - French, Spanish, Portuguese an asset.
