Summary
Steel Max Processing Ltd. is capable of manufacturing components, sub-assemblies, & stand-alone products in a facility that has CNC Plasma table, brake, shear, structural & plate roller, & welding capabilities. Inside Sales at Steel Max is responsible for identifying standard product lines & ferretting out new products to manufacture, and then take responsibility to oversee the drafting, design and profitable marketing of these products. This includes increasing the profitability of existing products, developing new products, and aggressively marketing all of these products to new & existing customers. This position shall also help customers identify their individual needs and work through all phases of drafting, design, completion, & sales of a specialized product at a steel processing centre.
Requirements
Product development, marketing or product management experience with a Manufacturing background an asset.
Proven analytical skills and the ability to identify customer needs and the ability to effectively communicate with them required.
Strong presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to finish multiple projects on time and scale.
Computer literate, including effective working knowledge of SolidWorks or CAD drafting software, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and Adobe Products.
High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or ability to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal & written skills
Job Duties
Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of customer service in the delivery of products and services.
Identify and vet new standard product lines through management with corresponding market needs through studies/research etc.
Manage market research; analyse and develop customer need strategies based on findings.
Develop, maintain, & improve standard product lines.
Be available for walk-in clients during regular business hours.
Utilize standard drafting software to design and draw customer requirements.
Ensure that designs are optimized for efficient and timely fabrication.
Estimate product costs and communicate to customers.
Sell products and services to customers based on timing cost and ease of transaction.
Maintain or exceed corporate profitability goals through accurate estimation and execution.
Assemble work orders and ensure clear communication and timely execution in the shop.
Schedule projects with the shop.
Ensure that customer’s projects are completed within the agreed to timelines.
