Industrial Electrician – New West Location
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Industrial Electrician is responsible for providing the plant with a high level of maintenance expertise that ensures company objectives are supported, maintenance goals are efficiently and effectively being met and to ensure that departmental downtime are minimized while achieving preventative maintenance schedules. This role will also be responsible for carrying out equipment and building repairs as required while following quality, safety and food safety standards and guidelines. Duties would include; however, not limited to:
1.Knowledge of and demonstrated compliance with maintenance, manufacturing and environmental regulations.
2.Participation in Continuous Improvement and Safety projects and activities.
3.Ability to generate, maintain and respond to KPIs.
4.Responsible for the installation of new equipment.
5.Plan maintenance, repair work for all machinery, plant equipment, electrical systems, buildings and services as well as maintain the preventative maintenance schedule.
6.Oversees part inventory.
7.Engage and manage contractors.
8.Schedule and coordinate work and projects.
9.Mentoring and leading an Apprentice Electrician.
1.Combination of education and experience in Expanded Polyethelyne or related fields.
2.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
3.Must have Electrician Red Seal as this role will be mentoring Apprentice Electricians.
4.Must hold current electrical ticket.
5.Proven abilities in safety, quality and productivity.
6.Strong analytical skills.
7.Proven ability to communicate clearly; proficient with Microsoft Office.
8.Must be available during off hours for consulting and intervening during emergencies.
9.Cross border travel may be required.
