Position Title: Leasing Agent
Job Status: Full-time ($16 - $19 per hour)
Department: Property Management
Property Name: London at Heritage Station

Reporting To: Property Manager

Position Summary:
The Leasing Agent is primarily responsible for professionally presenting features and benefits of the community, and properly administering the leasing process to qualified persons. This position will ensure a positive overall impression of the property as well as assist with all aspects of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and qualify prospects on the telephone or as they arrive and arrange appointments for viewing of the suites with the view that the end result will be a new resident
  • Report prospect traffic by entering guest cards into YARDI on a daily basis
  • Compile, maintain and utilize a wait list
  • Audit applications of prospective residents by ensuring they are completed correctly and process landlord and employer checks and notify prospective residents regarding status of application
  • Maintain the lease administration process and the lease renewal program
  • Schedule move-in and move-out times, and schedule elevators for moves
  • Prepare resident information and move-in packages
  • Perform annual renewal inspections, pre-move-in inspections and report deficiencies
  • Observe condition of property and report any unusual circumstances
  • Maintain data base of contact information through YARDI
  • Respond to resident inquiries
  • Complete competitive market surveys on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and deliver notices of entry and other correspondence as required
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date filing system
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and retention
  • Assist with other general administrative duties as required by the Leasing Administrator
  • Attend periodic community meetings and stay informed of on-site initiatives and programs
  • Adhere to Health and Safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have at least two years experience in sales and/or customer service
  • Exceptional communication ability, written and verbal
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and YARDI an asset
  • Security clearance required upon offer of employment
  • Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work shift work, including weekends and holidays
  • Possess sensational customer service philosophy
  • Highly organized, results oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
