Position Summary:

The Guest Service Supervisor will primarily be responsible for supervising the Front office. This includes the front desk, bell, night audit and security. This position will ensure a positive overall impression of the property as well as assist with all aspects of guest services. This position requires a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hours of work will fluctuate depending on the volumes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong focus on guest service and ensuring optimum guest satisfaction
  • Understand room availability inventory, rate programs and selling strategies of the hotel
  • Stays abreast of arrival reports and VIP’s to ensure all special requirements are exceeded
  • Implement and maintain Guest Service standards
  • Follow up with guest concerns to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Preparation of reports; arrivals and departures of the day
  • Welcome guests and ensure efficient guest registration and check out
  • Maintains daily communication log or summary
  • Development and training of new Front Desk agents, Bell and Night Audit
  • Be knowledgeable of days activities in the hotel
  • Protect guest privacy
  • Must be completely familiar with the role during hotel emergencies, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, the use of Incident Reports and Logbooks
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years hotel experience required
  • Hospitality education an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and multi-functional team environment
  • Must be fully able and competent to handle emergency situations
  • Must be able to work shift work, including weekends and holidays
  • Security clearance required prior to offer of employment
  • Possess sensational customer service philosophy
  • Highly organized, results oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
