Pros: could take breaks whenever with 10 minute window, management was always helpful
Cons: high turnover so hard to get to know people after 2 years, upper management was mostly aloof
A typical day at West was busy, fast paced and at times stressful; but in the end was rewarding, and beneficial. We did most of our work over the phone which helped my social skills in the very long term. Everyone was ready to go when the time for their specific shift.
The hardest part of the job was in the Toys R' Us (TRU) contract that we got in – more... which we had to fill orders for the christmas season and their subsequent returns using a myriad of software programs that were implemented for the TRU program. The hard part of this program was determining all the new sales and special offers each morning before work for TRU and the TRU website.
I would say the most enjoyable part of the job was talking to the many people that called in to request help. Helping people was integral to each contract that we fulfilled at West and I'm proud to have been a part of every one. – less
