Weldco Heavy Industries a leading heavy steel fabrication and equipment repair facility. Located in the heart of Alberta’s Oil Sands, WHI is positioned for repair and assembly of 400-Ton heavy haul mine truck bodies to rebuilding of shovel buckets and dippers.
With an advanced knowledge of heavy steel and welding industries the Supply Chain Coordinator is accountable for, but not limited to, the following functions:
-In collaboration with management develop and implement policies to coordinate the scheduling of work order flow, production and materials procurement
-Manage inventory and develop processes to maintain established inventory levels
-Monitor production capacity and inventory levels to insure capacity and inventory levels are available for scheduled work orders
-Establish and monitor processes and procedures for the organization of materials
-Gain efficiencies through reduced cost, improved quality and utilization of proven sourcing strategies
-Workplace safety program participation
The successful candidate will actively demonstrate motivational and technical leadership with the ability to “roll up your sleeves” and energetically participate in day to day functions.
Five plus years proven experience in a related area of material/logistics complimented with relevant post-secondary education is preferred. The demonstrated ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships, superior communication skills, solid knowledge of inventory management systems, proficiency in MS office and active problem solving are desirable key competencies.
This position offers a five on, two off shift in a fast paced environment suited for a candidate who thrives on decision making and collaboration with a direct effect on customer service, business efficiencies and overall goal achievement.
