Weldco Heavy Industries, a division of Weldco-Beales Manufacturing Inc. proudly introduces many career opportunities. Located in Fort McKay, Weldco Heavy Industries is a leading edge heavy steel fabrication and equipment repair facility.
This position is primarily responsible for managing all production activities within facility. The shift pattern is 14 nights (12 hours shifts) followed by 14 days off. The foreman is accountable to Management for products produced to meet customer satisfaction, human resources management, productivity, communication, quality and cost control.
Reporting to the Superintendent, this position provides exceptional customer service, leadership, team work and ensures and promotes quality workmanship and workplace safety. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Active participation in WHI Safety Program, ensuring that workplace safety comes first
Manage human resources which includes supervision, training, performance management, and succession planning,
Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients
Maximize productivity, product quality, production schedule accuracy and efficiency
Strong interpersonal skills to relate to staff at all levels

Travel and Accommodation available
Journeyman Welding Ticket (that meets Alberta required standards) or Red Seal
CWB Supervisors ticket
Standard First Aid + CPR certificate
A minimum of 10+ years of related experience with a minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to safety and continuous quality/process improvement. Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills are also required.
