Weldco-Beales Manufacturing Ltd. (WBM) manufactures heavy equipment attachments and truck mounted cranes for the construction, forestry, mining and resource industries throughout Canada, U.S.A. and internationally. Our manufacturing facility located in Edmonton, Alberta is currently recruiting a:


Reporting to the Foreman in the Fabrication Shop, the Robotic Welder operates a robotic welding machine to produce high quality parts in a safe, timely manner. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Active participation in the safety program
  • Experience with set-up, programing, operating, troubleshooting and maintain robotic welding machines
  • Welds, fits and assembles all WBM products
  • Providing quality service to both internal and external customers
  • Contribute to improving WBM’s welding procedures
  • Consistently delivers quality workmanship
  • Provides on the job training as required


  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • Journeyman Welding Ticket (that meets Alberta required standards) and/or structural steel and plate fitting


  • A minimum of 3+ years related experience
  • Robotic Welding/programming using Fanuc controllers is mandatory


  • Communication skills to read, write, listen, and speak in a clear and concise manner to individuals at various levels
  • Interpersonal skills work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Time management skills to productively complete work and meet all expected deadlines
  • Organizational skills to plan out and coordinate his or her work in a logical manner
  • Analytical skills to identify problems and find a solution, or seek advice from the supervisor
  • Problem solving skills to methodically and logically work through problems

Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination skills
