POSITION: Accounting Clerk
Welco Expediting LTD. provides process equipment for mining and mineral processing, bulk material handling and water/wastewater applications.
Bookkeeping functions for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, collections, and providing timely reports to Management concerning accounting and sales matters. We do not use Quickbooks or Simply Accounting! We are looking for an individual who understands batch processing and core Accounting fundamentals.
All accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity.
Process customer MasterCard and Visa payments.
Day-end, month-end, and year-end processing.
Daily reconciling of bank, including BMO Directline services.
Preparation and processing of monthly reports for Provincial taxes, GST, and Statistics Canada.
Record and maintain holiday records and sick days for all company employees.
Preparation of year-end binder for presentation to Auditor.
Provide administrative and clerical services to ensure effective and efficient operations.
Assist with general filing and document tracking.
Manage in-bound and out-bound mail, email and fax.
Review expense claims for correct authorization, back up documentation and coding of expenses
Maintain the organization and procurement of office supplies and equipment.
Review and maintain all supply contracts and office equipment leases.
Other administrative duties as assigned
A minimum of 5-10 years of Accounting experience within a professional organization
Solid understanding of Accounting fundamentals
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferably 2010 version
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Manages ‘last minute’ and conflicting priorities with composure
Ability to multi-task
Excellent organizational and time-management skills are a must
