Reporting to: Shop Service Manager
Qualifications: Journey man trade certification w/ min. 3 years experience
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
Proficient in excel and word
Experienced with Microsoft Project or similar PM software
Skills: Strong diagnostic/technical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage changing priorities
Preferences: Logistics background
Millwright or machinist, other mechanical trades considered
Overview: This is primarily a logistics, planning, dispatch, technical support role. It requires significant attention to detail and an ability to move quickly from one issue to another while maintaining a high level of continuity in process. Firm understanding of customer needs and balancing them with the resources available /employed to resolve an issue.
Plan and coordinate shop work performed by multiple departments
Provide project details
Provide technical support
Review timesheets for accuracy and completeness
Provide on call support to customers and crews.
On call for service only during the week
May require some purchasing of goods and services
Create maintain and publish work schedule
Track booked projects
Publish schedule weekly
Perform Primary review of closed work orders
Ensure no missed charges
Ensure pertinent tech. /support documents included
Participate in staff performance management process
Employee development and evaluations
Attend, facilitate as required project kick off meetings
Perform scheduled site visits to confer with clients and crew on project progress.
Participate in quote development
RFP technical review
Develop Work break down structures
Implementing and maintaining policies and procedures.
Promoting a safe environment
Effectively communicate project goals and expectations to all team members in a timely and clear fashion.
Monitor and report on project costs/controls
Other duties as assigned
