JOB SUMMARY:
As a key member of the health care team, you will be the Point of Care health team member, using your nursing judgement to assess and deliver routine and advanced nursing duties in the home or clinic setting. You will use different nursing skills every day and participate in ongoing nursing education to expand these skills. You identify problems and implement nursing care plans in conjunction with the client and/or family and other members of the health care team. You acknowledge and implement physician’s orders with accuracy and within your scope of practice. You are professional in appearance and behaviour, and manage stressful situations calmly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Arrange and provide excellent nursing care using the skills of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation, and health teaching. Responsibilities may include wound care, IV therapy, palliative care, tube feeding, and medication administration.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience is an asset but new grads are encouraged to apply.

EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

CREDENTIALS:
Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario, CPR, Police check with vulnerable sector screening

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Full-time, Flexible scheduling
