WJS Canada Training Division is seeking Registered Nurses and/or Licensed Practical Nurses for contract Instructor positions.
Position Type: Contract

Duties/Key Responsibilities: To teach, facilitate, monitor and evaluate student learning. To assure an optimal learning environment for the practice and mastering of medication administration skills. Administer and deliver curriculum to a diverse group of adult learners. Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of the adult learners. Develop and deliver effective workshops. Provide small group, in person, and/or on-line instruction. Preparation of teaching materials and outlines for courses.
Teaching Format: Class Room, Workshop, Lecture, On-line
Audience: Adult Learners
Qualifications/Credentials: RN/LPN. Minimum 2 years of recent and relevant experience. Proven ability to problem solve, BC Provincial Instructor's Diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Specific Skills/Experience: Experience teaching or mentoring adult learners. Practical experience related to area of instruction. High energy level and ability to engage learners. Active and on-going learning environment management. Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Strong interpersonal skills, including presentation and group facilitation skills. Excellent leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member. Ability to motivate, engage and inspire students. Strong organizational skills.
