Job Summary

Under the supervision of the program manager and/or other senior staff, the Awake Residential Night Worker (ARNW) is responsible for providing general, non-specific client services. These include physical, emotional and behavioral support, monitoring and attending to the well-being and safety of the residents during the night, through observation and accurate reporting. The ARNW will maintain a comfortable and clean living environment. This position requires union membership with BCGEU.

The Successful Applicant Must Possess:

• Valid CPR/First Aid
• WHMIS
• Food Hygiene and Sanitation Certificate
• Valid BC Class 4 Drivers license with clear driver’s abstract
• Non-Violent Physical Crisis Intervention Certificate
• Behavior Management Certificate
• Conflict Resolution Certificate
• Child Care Worker Certificate and/or related experience
• At least 6 months working with youth in a residential or vocational setting
• Must have a current criminal record check and ministry check
