The Role:

A creative and visual design powerhouse. Formally trained but willing to push the boundaries in an entrepreneurial environment, the Sr. Production Designer will provide full layout, graphic design and production services for various promotional print and on-line material for all Glentel divisions but primarily focused on the TBooth wireless brand. As member of the marketing team the Sr. Production Designer will work to create a full range marketing materials, including in-store point of sale material, brochures, reports along with print and web advertising. The Sr. Production Designer will work with the Brand Manager and our creative agencies to ensure the creative is effective and represents the brand. As the most senior member of the team, this person will also assist in prioritizing/trafficking the workflow for the other members of the design team. They will also actively coach and support the design team in an effort to continually develop and enhance the teams design skills.

Responsibilities and Expectations include:

Develop creative material based a creative brief supplied by the Brand Manger
Work collaboratively with marketing and our creative agency to build creative that is both memorable and effective
Effectively prioritize work across multiple internal customers
Provide creative guidance and feedback to team members within the Production team
Provide graphic design based on conceptual guidelines and project specifications
Co-ordinates various stages of production
Maintains and archives digital & hardcopies of production files
Ensure compliance with corporate identity standards and partner co-op guidelines
Create customized digital images by manipulating royalty-free stock images
Prepare digital files for various output devices
Ensure smooth transition between in-house design and outside suppliers
Liaise with production house in preparation of film and printer for on-site press checks· Track project docket for reference purposes· Maintain knowledge of current software applications and printing/production technique

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

5 plus years of work experience in graphic design
2 plus years of experience in managing teams
Formal education in graphic design
Agency experience is a plus
High knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Plus to have some basic knowledge of a web application like Dreamweaver or Flash
Advance PowerPoint and Keynote skills
Excellent communication and written skills in English, French is a definite asset
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously
Flexible personality accepting of the projects having numerous changes
Ability to create a variety of projects from concept through production
This person will support people based in Toronto and Vancouver, so flexible work hours are required
