Role

Reporting to the Manager, the Market & Competitive Intelligence Specialist is responsible for researching the market, competitors and customer base to support the Product Management and Sales teams in enhancing the GLENTEL product offering and winning more business. A key member of the Business Services team responsible for leading the development, governance, management and execution of all business services performance metrics measurement and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Play a supportive role by researching, collecting and analyzing information from internal and external sources; present findings which may include the production of figures and charts
Research and catalog relevant information about competitive landscape
Conduct telephone interviews and document results in a clear, consistent fashion
Manage, or contribute to, special projects involving data analysis and review of alternative information sources and tools
Assist with information and document management
Clearly document processes, data sources and definitions · Build relationships with stakeholders to understand their business challenges and assess and deliver on their analytics needs
Perform other operational and processing tasks within the team as required

Qualifications

University degree in Business, Marketing, Political Science, or any other degree program that requires an intense level of research and analysis. Exceptional recent graduates may be considered
Must have a team-player attitude with excellent collaboration skills in a cross-functional and matrix environment
Ability to translate complex analysis and topics into digestible communications
Experience with different presentation styles to document findings (.doc, .xls, .ppt, SPSS, etc.)
Ability to organize work to ensure that deliverable schedules are met
Ability to conduct telephone interviews with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Operating knowledge of MS applications - word processing, spreadsheet program and presentation software
Demonstrated commitment to learning and self-development
High proficiency in SAS and/or SQL is a must · Must be highly detail-oriented
Self-motivated
