W&M Dance Projects is the umbrella name encompassing two contemporary dance programs under the artistic direction of Wojciech Mochniej and Melissa Monteros.
W&M Physical Theatre is a professional creation/production company showcasing the choreographic and performance work of Wojciech Mochniej (Poland) and Melissa Monteros (Canada). W&M Physical Theatre was founded in 1994 (as Gdanski Teatr Tanca). Their shared interest is in fusing the dynamics of contemporary dance with the intensity of Polish physical theatre to create work of emotional depth and raw physicality. They have performed in Poland, Austria, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Italy, Sweden, and Estonia as well as in Canada.
W&M2 is designed for pre-professional dancers (of all styles and genres, who want to work in the contemporary dance field) who are nearing a professional level. W&M2 focuses on development and best artistic practices both in rehearsal and in performance. The program strives to provide these dancers with a ladder into the professional world by offering them challenges in the rehearsal process and presentation opportunities to develop as performers.
