Data entry (Former Employee) – Monroe, LA – 9 January 2014
My Job at Volvo was only a temporary position because the department of the company I worked in was moved to Houston. The manager was caring and fair and my co workers were kind and fun to work with. The most difficult part of the job was processing a tedious payroll for 100+ employees and not making any mistakes. The job its self was data entry so it did not provide much of a challenge.
Good company with good salary/benefit. Unfortunately, the engineering management is shallow-minded and not well managed. If you are a new employee you have almost zero training and no coaching and they expect you to function without errors, no room for mistakes. Your evaluation is made based on the opinion of few people and if they don't like you for some reasons your days are over. You could achieve a lot of things but if you make a few small mistakes you are finished. They don't treat you like a person as a whole rather like a machine. So think hard before you quit your company to come here.
