A good learning opportunity in automotive field, a good worklife balance and good culture.
Graduate Engineer Trainee (Current Employee) – Bangalore, KA – 7 July 2014
Volvo is a good company to learn about upcoming technology in the automotive field since they are way far ahead of Indian market. I can say the company has a wide opportunity to learn in automotive field. It has a good culture, not the best. The working environment is normal and satisfactory with a very good bunch of co-workers. Management is average with very minimal benefits planned as of now. Most enjoyable part is the factory visits where the real feel of our work can be experienced.
There is a lot of process to be followed which takes more time than the real work.
Well ahead technology in automobile field, good learning place.
FLEET SALES MANAGER (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 5 March 2017
Volvo has a quality product and has a good employee culture. As all companies within the automotive industry, it's business is cyclical. The Canadian division has minimal number staff that are responsible for many duties within their particular department. A quick pace environment that is constantly changing is one of the best and worst aspects.
Heavy duty field mechanic (Former Employee) – Terrace, BC – 2 March 2017
Great west equipment was a great company to work for. I thrive on challenges and learning. I was able to attend volvo training a few times a year to keep on the latest technology and machines. I was a field mechanic and very much enjoyed it. GWE treated their mechanics well and pay was good. I would enjoy another position similar to this.
Manager; Dealer Credit & Operations (Former Employee) – Aurora, ON – 22 February 2017
While I have had many positive experiences with the Volvo Group, the current environment at Volvo Financial Services in Canada is one of dis-function from a management perspective. While individual teams work well, and do communicate with each other when necessary, there is no Leadership from the current Managing Director, whom actually seems to encourage team management silos, and prefers a "passive-aggressive" management style. The most enjoyable part of being a member of the VFS team is the people/staff, and their willingness to give a little extra to deliver excellent service to both external & internal customers.
this is a very professional company that is a pleasure to work for

The day at work is average. The managers are lazy doesn't want to get off their seats, but the employees working under the manager are wondering, always making the best out of things and very supportive about personal and professional issues.
Involved with the company from the beginning of start-up until sold.

FLEET SALES MANAGER (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 21 April 2016
Volvo Trucks is a Global company that leads the trucking in safety and technology. The Canadian operation is small in numbers but big in heart and dedication to customers. Advancement opportunity within this region is small to none.
The employees are like minded and have a good sense of camaraderie. Recent management changes has added challenges to the spirit of the group, but overall they have maintained their cohesiveness.
Salary and benefits are excellent.
Overall, I highly recommend this company as an employer.
