We would install high speed internet access in the Verizon central offices in all Northeastern states. We would travel for a week at a time installing internet to the surrounding areas. The best part of the job was going to the job site and completing a job knowing we were able to get internet to that area. The worst part of the job was the travel at – more... times. got hired on as a temp to hire.well never got hired after 6 months threw company job desciption said must be able to lift 50 lbs modst medical waste was 100+ lbs and was most of the day heavy labor .you will injure yourself stay away

A typical day was spent making outbound calls regarding a specific energy saving program called DAPS. We had a list we called from to speak with customers who had DAPS in the past and customers who currently had it.

The job was overall an easy job. The management isnt very good. There is alot of favoritism and i'nconsistencies. As long as you stay to your self you will do just fine

on site never answered our concerns, very poor communication and training. no benefits.
I gained experience in dealing with customers over the phone.
Coworkers were very nice. the best partwas to be off on weekends and choose our schedule.

I found the Volt branch management to be very uneducated and unaware of HR practices - what is legal and what not to do and say in an interveiw. When I questioned - I was told "this is the way we have always done it". I feel if you are a manager or recruiter, you should be trained in the legalities of recruitment. We would normally stretch in the morning seeing that we would be doing a lot of moving and pushing around everyday. I would take bins and crates (of chemicals) off the belt and re-stack them on the shelves. I learned how to be quick and efficient. My coworkers were all extremely polite and friendly. The office I worked in for nearly 10 years was headed up by a manager who placed a high value on family. If our family was in need, we were always allowed to place work on the back burner and know that our job was secure in the meantime. I would go back in a heartbeat!

They found me a job within a week of working there. My recruiters really cared about me and really worked hard to find work for me. If there are any work related issues, the recruiters give you a fair chance and they also hear your side without bias.

Volt is a staffing firm with a great environment and awesome staff. Co-workers are fun to be around and very easy to interact with. Its very relaxed but driven and focused company. Recommend this company to anyone looking for staffing opportunities.

They were OK, they found me a job but the work got slow so they let 12 of us go at same time.

While working with Volt, I realized I found a great place where everyone is like my second family. Although business has not been great despite the efforts of local management, it will sadden me when I leave.

This is a temp agency. If you are sick or need any type of help with anything they are typically not in the same state as you so they are unable to assist you with most things. The people that work in the office that you talk to are very nice and understanding. I enjoyed working with the people that I got to talk to.

I had an enjoyable time seeing the country while working for them. everyone was a pleasure to work for.
