High stress and fast paced work
Cold-side cook (Former Employee) – Edmonton, AB – 14 December 2015
prepared food before opening and during work hours with cleanup afterwards.
Learned how to make some good food and proper sanitation.
Management was alright but since the resturante was new they were unsure alot of the time.
Co-workers were good except waiters, they were very rude to kitchen staff.
Hardest part of the job was preparing intricate dishes and serving them before the main dishes were complete. Also doing appetizers and desserts simultaneously.
Most enjoyable part was trying all the new food that was created before each work shift.
Tough dealing with rude waiters, pay was too low for a cook position
