We are currently looking for a full time Driver/ Fill Plant Operator for our Brampton location. This position is the ongoing contact in patient care and medical institutions with complete confidentiality. The successful candidate will represent the company by maintaining a hygienic and neat appearance and providing clients with supplies and service on an ongoing basis.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Determines condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use
  • Ensures correct loading of vehicle by identifying product requirements for the day and loading the material in compliance with safety and legislative requirements
  • Maintains a safe vehicle, protects loads by complying with organization policies, procedures, highway rules and regulations
  • Meets clients’ goals and needs by delivering products accordingly to daily schedule and as committed
  • Ensures proper maintenance and cleanliness of delivery vehicles
  • Contributes to team effort by working with other members to achieve optimal client service, and on other teams as required
  • Establishes and maintains efficient delivery service of liquid oxygen, cylinder medical gases and respiratory equipment to patient’s residences and institutions
  • Instructs clients on equipment operation and safety
  • Appropriately completes documents as required for patient records and billing
  • Other warehouse/filling plant duties as assigned
  • Performs necessary check of pumps, pressure and liquid level of the vessel(s), scales, gauges and other essential equipment
  • Handles, identifies, sorts, prepares and conditions cylinders in a safe manner
  • Processes all cylinders through the pre-fill inspection to ensure they are safe to fill and use
  • Fills cylinders; reports and records data related to this process
  • Performs the required analysis on finished lots of product and distributes when results are met to specifications
  • Maintains quality service by following company standards, policies and procedures
  • Reports and assists in the investigation of customer complaints, defects; quarantines and notifies supervisor and head of QC of non-conforming products
  • Efficiently maintains quality records by completing all necessary documentation

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (early morning, late evening)
  • Valid DZ Class drivers’ license
  • Clean driver’s abstract & clean criminal check
  • Previous driving experience
  • Experience with Transportation of Dangerous Goods is an asset
  • Must be safety conscious and a strong team member
  • Strong organization, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide after hours service to clients by participating in an on-call rotation
  • Reliable, self motivated and committed to high standards of service
  • Ability to work independently and lift up to 60 lbs unassisted
