Disappointing with process and manner of managers when both applying and in group interview . I was a highly qualified experienced person of 18 years and there was NO person centered emphasis in their recruitment of staff . I felt terrible and spoken directives given to prospective staff by the manager overseeing was a much different description than was advertised and even saying that there was mandatory training that a staff had to consent to make sure they did things Villa Maria way and that this had to be paid for by the applicant. I once knew of this sort of training as being called induction and it was provided as part of your employment. I could not afford another $120.00 to pay for a training day in my own time . IT was also said that it was expected that on call casuals ( as per position) needed to take every opportunity contacted for or otherwise they may not be contacted again or if say a job was for 3 hours in Lilydale and the worker lived in Oakleigh that was not to be a reason for declining.
Just so so disappointing and discouraged. I had hoped to continue with "quality" work in my profession.
