The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations of Volunteer services for VON including recruitment, screening, orientating, training and managing day to day interaction with volunteers. They work in close collaboration with the Care Coordinators to coordinate volunteers for all VON programs and with Administration for statistical information and data collection. They contribute to the development, evaluation and promotion of VON programs and volunteer opportunities in the community and is the primary contact for all volunteers.

- Diploma/degree in health/social science discipline
- Post secondary education in volunteer management/Certificate preferred
- Minimum 3 years working experience in volunteer management
- Experieince working in a community setting with seniors and adults with disabilities
- Ability to market using progressive database and community connections
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience with training, marketing and public speaking
- Willingness to travel throughout Wellington County
- Previous experience working in the not for profit sector as asset
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle and possess both a current drivers license and insurance
- Current criminal background check will be requested
