As the LPN - Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the primary contact for patients preparing for their consultations and/or surgery. This position involves the coordination and collection of preoperative assessments, diagnostic testing results, patient inquiries and payments in advance of the procedure day, as well as taking care of the patient throughout the admission process, documenting patient information, consents, administering preoperative medications and assessments on the day of surgery. A large amount of the position involves administrative work such as answering phones (confirming patients for surgery, answering questions, follow up calling, transferring calls to appropriate departments, etc), billing and collecting payments, database entry (data entry for billing purposes, patient chart information and requirements).
Experience / Qualifications
Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses.
Current full practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia (CLPNBC)

Current CPR C (or preferably CPR HCP)
Administrative courses and /or experience an asset.
