We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in *St. Paul, Minnesota*.

The Manufacturing Engineer will handle all aspects of manufacturing existing products as well as support new product introduction from start to finish ensuring that the design for manufacturing meets best in class requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
Suggest and implement changes in manufacturing environment and equipment to increase efficiency of operations.
Participate in Product Life Cycle projects as project manager from manufacturing engineering role (PLC).
Analyze and resolve technical and operational problems while transitioning new product into production and sustaining production and process development.
Create and maintain routings and bills of material in SAP.
Work with suppliers, and contract manufactures to address process issues.
Supplier development and certification.
Participate in Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
Perform DFM (design for manufacturing) reviews.
Implementation of ECO’s (engineering change order) accurately, timely, cost effectively and entered into SAP.
Perform distribution and rework of NCM (non-conforming material).
Lead and/or Participate in 8D methods to analyze and resolve technical/ operational problems.
Manage customer order projects that require customer input or ETO to complete the design.
Provide management with project updates and status reports formally and informally.


Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or related field required.
5 plus years’ experience in equipment/product manufacturing is required.
Project Management Professional certification a plus.
Capital Equipment experience is required.
Experience with Solidworks or AutoCAD preferred.
Broad experience with methods of manufacturing and welding required.
Vacuum (UHV) and clean-room experience highly desirable
Experience with ERP tools such as SAP or similar program required.
Experience within a highly technical production environment is highly desirable.
Quality training and experience in SPC, Kanban, Kaizen, ISO-9000, Lean, Six-Sigma highly desirable
Practical mindset with strong ability to read and interpret highly technical documents (e.g., schematics, mechanical drawings, and assembly drawings, bills of material, routings, operating, maintenance, and job safety instructions/procedures) provided in verbal, written or pictorial form.
Must be willing to travel 15%.
