Main Purpose of the Job.
To provide electrical service to the clients of the Calgary service district as set forth by the Calgary District Service Manager. To reach budgeted goals set by the project manager on small projects while managing labor and materials.
Education and Experience
A Journeyman Electrician certificate with a minimum of 5 years experience. Industiral Controls and exposure to PLC's is an asset. Must know how to work with Teck cable rigid conduit, and various control circuits.
Class 5 drivers license required
This position is responsible for the electrical, automation technical support and installations for the customers of the Calgary service district. To ensure project budgets are followed and to report any deviations to the service manager.
This individual is required to adhere to the companies “rules and procedures”. It is imperative that this individual deals with our suppliers, customers and fellow employees in a fair and non-compromising manner.
To supervise field employees
To maintain a professional relationship with customers and key suppliers
Administer Vector’s safety program
Clean and maintain the company vehicle to the managers standards
Enforce the companies quality standards
To keep informed of new products that will enhance our services
To ensure material is delivered and pricing is accurate
Taking after hours call outs as per the on-call schedule
Knowledge of job specifications, plans and budget
Maintain project files and documentation QA/QC
To advise the Calgary District Service Manager of any deviation from budget
This position relays and recommends to the Calgary District Service Manager all human resource issues. The actual HR dealings are the responsibility of the Calgary District Manager.
Ensure all work orders are filled out completely and correctly
Ensure all hours are recorded and accurate for workers under your supervision
