My duties as a volunteer were divided into thirty minute rotations with other people involved during my term performing the same duties. It was a diverse job that never got dull with helpful management and a supportive staff.

It's a very nice place to work in. The people you work with, from the volunteers to the front office staff, are just great and phenomenal. Not only is it a place where you can interact with visitors from diverse backgrounds, but you can also see and learn an abundance of information about the world's marine life. Huge thumbs up on this one!

Enjoyed my 3 years working and living in Vancouver. Met so many awesome people made friends that will remain friends for years. Management seemed to change very often and employees rarely had opportunity to move up in the company. For experience and enjoying your job the Aquarium was a perfect pit stop.

Interpretive Delivery Assistant (Former Employee) – Vancouver, BC – 5 July 2013
-A typical day would include interacting with kids who come to whatever station you are assigned to, answering questions/giving directions to the public, helping set up stations, carrying supplies, helping with any emergencies, and providing a friendly experience. -I learned how to handle certain marine animals -The hardest part was being ready for an ever-changing schedule, as well as being on your feet for up to 8 hours. -Working with people/kids, and having a hands on experience with certain animals.
