The Network Support Technician will be required to provide new and existing clients with Vadim Municipal & Financial software installation, hardware installation and network related support. Responsible to manage customer calls, through effective problem solving, proactive customer management, and exhibit "best practice" style of customer support. The position is based in Kelowna, British Columbia.
This role is primarily responsible for ensuring customers are successfully operating Vadim’s municipal solutions. It includes, but is not limited to:

− Consulting with customers to ensure appropriate infrastructure is in place to operate solution
− Designing software configurations for customers to ensure successful implementations
− Implementing and installing software solutions
− Working on reported customer issues
− Troubleshooting our software and integrations to third party applications
− Assisting in the planning and preparation of new services, operating environments, and software offerings

The candidate must demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a relentless desire to provide excellent service and exceed client expectations. This is part-time position (20 hours per week) is based in Kelowna B.C.

Duties
− Gain knowledge of Vadim software related to installation and technical support.
− Respond to software support calls from clients, analyze the source and problem and present a solution.
− Support municipal government customers in their ongoing operation of Vadim’s software solutions
− Provide consultative assistance in troubleshooting networking issues impacting the operations and performance of our solutions.
− Administer and provide first level problem resolution for the Vadim Hosted (SaskTel) solution.
− Liaise with third party technical resources when required for the Vadim Hosted solution or third party products.
− Document work completed.
− Assist in the creation of technical aids and documentation, for both internal and external use.
− Prepare, edit and/or update documentation and manuals with respect to Vadim's product installation and network services.
− Train clients and other employees on the system administration of our solutions.
− Prepare and maintain billing records for all services provided to clients.
− Prepare, edit and/or update documentation and manuals with respect to Vadim's product installation and network services.
− Help with administration of Vadim network.
− Provide after hours emergency assistance as required
− Additional tasks, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.

Education / Experience Required
− Up to date Microsoft Certified System Engineer certification required or equivalent experience.
− Post secondary school education in computer related discipline.
− Minimum 3 years experience in network services (preferably in the enterprise software industry).
− Experience administering and managing Microsoft SQL Server databases.
− Strong knowledge in network related software and hardware products.
− Project management experience with software implementation projects.
− Technical support experience.
− Experience in Windows based operating systems and programs
