QA/QC INSPECTOR- BOILER

Responsibilities

Performs inspection and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work;

• Inspection of Boiler and structures from material verification stage to final commissioning and installation
• Ensuring project compliance to codes and standards;
• Conducting process, product and quality management system internal audits;
• Observes work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship;
• Utilizes applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptable or rejection/or rejection
• Contribute to a positive, safe, high-quality culture.
• Decision-making and problem solving skills.

Qualification

• CWB LEVEL- 2 Inspector with ASME VIII Div.1-Required
• API 510 Vessel Inspector-Preferred
• NB-23 Certified _Preferred
• Knowledge of NDT methods (x-ray/radiographic, magnetic particle,

liquid penetrant, etc.,) –Preferred
Knowledge of pressure and pneumatic testing methods and procedures –Preferred

• ISO Auditor Training (internal and/or external) –Preferred
• Experience with ABSA Pressure B welding –Preferred
• Experience as Welding Supervisor or Welding Examiner-Preferred
• ABSA Pressure Piping Quality Seminar –Preferred
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1,VIII.Div.1,IX,II,CSA W47.1 and W59.3 codes –Preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications-Preferred
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word

and Excel. Preferred

• Strong organizational and time management skills-Preferred

Strong written and verbal communications skills-Preferred

• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies-Preferred
