Senior Project Consultant (Former Employee), Chicago, ILMay 28, 2014
Pros: hands on experience, airline/hotel points, alternate travel (fly somewhere on the weekend, not home), develop professional relationships with the client
Cons: salary, bonuses, compensation in general, management attitudes & general demeanor, travel sun-friday gives you less than 48 hrs at home
You'll learn a lot IF management or someone above you likes you. Otherwise, you'll flail until you can't take it and have to quit. They will just slowly stop talking to you. I call it the "phase out".
