Assist with the planning, organizing, directing, controlling of construction projects from start to finish;

Determine and analyze the costs of the proposed construction projects and prepare estimates for all consultants working on the projects, including civil engineering, architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical engineers;

Review project drawings and plans and prepare estimates of costs of materials, labour and equipment;

Determine and cost direct labour needs;

Be the point of contact and coordinate all information required by project cost monitors;

Prepared tenders and bids and schedule of costs of contractors and subcontractors;

Analyze and cost received tenders and provision of advice to management with respect to contract direction;

Monitoring of all successful bids and reporting to management on progress;

Coordinate the purchase and sourcing of building materials and special finishes with all contractors and trades, including coordination and implementation of overseas purchases, and report to management;

Maintain trade directory, including historical bid pricing database on a trade by trade basis;

Assist in the preparation and planning of construction schedules and milestones and monitor and report progress of all consultants, contractors and trades to Construction Manager;

Prepare contracts, and administer change and addition orders to existing contracts with project consultants, contractors and sub-trades, including surveyors, architects, engineers;

Assist the Development Team in determining feasibility of proposed new projects;

Job Details

Permanent Position
$60,000.00 Yearly, for 40.00 Hours per week, Group Insurance Benefits
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Min. 3 years, but less than 5 years of experience in construction industry, Residential, Commercial, Architectural
Must be fluent in Italian and English
Commencement: As soon as possible
Completion of university, preferable to have completed a professional designation related to project management, architectural, cost estimating in addition to university.
