The United Way of Pictou County has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant
Reporting to the Executive Director, your key responsibilities will include:
Administrative support to the Executive Director and volunteers
Bookkeeping including: accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, and payroll
Preparing financial statements
Campaign assistance
The ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary diploma/degree or equivalent combination of experience and education. You must:
be customer service oriented, professional, and discrete at all times
have a high attention to detail, and strong organizational and communication skills
be highly energetic and innovative
be able to work independently and as part of a team, and adaptable to change
be computer literate, particularly in Simply Accounting and MS Office
understand the value of this role in helping United Way build a stronger community
You must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to an insured vehicle. This position requires flexibility as some weekend and evening work is required.
