The company started with revenues of 2 1/2 million in 1987 to current operations which will produce more than 10 times that at the end of fiscal 2002 ( Jan 31,2002 ), a time which coincides with a milestone event for the company - its 15th year of full time dedicated H2S services to the oil and gas industry. The company's mandate when it started in 1987 has never changed, to provide "best in class " services and products to our customers.
Over the course of the last 15 years the company's internal quality based systems and processes have evolved to lead the safety industry. The latest move to the newly established Technical Operations Center in Airdrie, Alberta along with continued expansion and ongoing development of existing domestic and international facilities has permitted us to subject our quality management systems, our procedures and internal processes to continual testing and refinement over time. The result - incorporation of advanced and proven service delivery systems leading to significant gains in performance. Strongly recognized by our client group, this has translated into increased market share both domestically and around the globe.
Indeed, the company's commitment to improvement does not stop at the shop floor but goes further to assure that the client is able to place full confidence on our core resource - our employees. United Safety continues to dedicate significant resources towards employee training and, again in 2001-2002, will spend $ 750,000 on the training of employees at all levels of the company. We believe this ongoing reinvestment in our future to be vital to our mandate of continuous improvement and to our commitment in providing knowledge based and industry leading safety services to our clients around the globe.
