We are looking for a web-savvy Marketing & Business Development Specialist to join the Unbridling Your Brilliance team. The Marketing Assistant’s primary responsibilities are to manage the organization’s web assets as well as provide vital strategic planning and outreach efforts to market programs & events in the business community.
The ideal candidate must have experience in the administration of a Wordpress CMS website as well as email marketing tools such as Constant Contact. Experience in using social media as a community-building and marketing channel is mandatory. The Marketing Assistant will also lead initiatives in online marketing channels and will have to be familiar with new technologies and interpreting analytics. Previous experience in business & community-level marketing is desired.
The ideal candidate must be organized, motivated, self-starter with excellent time management skills. Customer service skills are desired as this role will liaise with corporate & business clients, community groups and program partners. Interest in self-development, coaching and non-profit work would be beneficial to this role.
This is an hourly, part-time position with high-activity season running from Spring to Fall. The Marketing & Business Development Specialist may work remotely/off-site but should be able to visit the facility (in Langley) for meetings, events, programs and marketing support. -Website Maintenance (WordPress CMS): creating/editing pages, updating content, working with web developer to maintain operations
-Email Marketing (Constant Contact): creating marketing emails & newsletters, reporting, contact list maintenance
-Event & Program Marketing: marketing outreach to community for events/programs, researching & marketing outreach to new markets for events/programs, working with program partners for marketing assets & publicity support
-Social Media: engaging communities, developing content, increasing visibility on social media channels, syndicating content publication
-Event Administration: setting up of event pages, coordinating payment, payment troubleshooting, following up with participants
-Marketing Collateral: creating flyers, photography administration, coordination of assets with external graphic artist
-Web Account Administration: Photobucket, Audio Acrobat, Google Analytics, YouTube
-Media: Distribution of press releases, follow-up coordination
-Website Analytics, SEO
-Miscellaneous web troubleshooting, business solutions, basic ecommerce
