Caissière (Former Employee) – Montréal, QC – 22 September 2017
nice atmosphere with my coworkers and costumer. A regular shift would be you coming 10 min before your shift to count de cash you are going to use. After that, you are ready to begin your shift. Basically, you have to salute every customer and offer them some product in the store and serve them.
Gas Station Attendant (Current Employee) – Ottawa, ON – 20 September 2017
1. A typical day can be a friday as this is the most buziest day. So we have to be very attentive towards our work 2. I have become more organised and has improved my ability to work and take decisions individually. 3. The workplace culture management our there is actually very light. It doesn't feel that we are talking to our co-workers. Everyone is so friendly. 4. According to me, everthing is hard if you are not attentive and responsible towards your work. So, it just depends upon you. 5. Most enjoyable part is that I get chance to talk to different kind of people, from young to old age. So, I learn a lot of things form them everyday and I make new friends.
Kitchen Manager, Overnight, (Former Employee) – Ottawa, ON – 30 June 2017
Primarily my job was in the kitchen. As my kitchen manager had paperwork, I was in charge of the full clean, stocking and making of our productions. Once to twice a week I would delegate the incoming order and make outgoing phone calls for new orders. I learned very much how to be independent while managing the daily routine based on sales.
The hardest part of the job was saying goodbye as the environment motivated me to take my customer service to new heights while I spend my time on the overnight shift.
Leisure provided upon early completion of daily tasks
Cashier (Former Employee) – Youngs Point, ON – 16 February 2017
This company/job was pretty enjoyable within the time I was there. It involved being a cashier which was typically easy. I would scan the items presented, add gas if it was purchased, and process the transaction. Some days were spent stocking shelves, mopping floors and basic cleaning however that was once in a blue moon. The store I worked at, the owners typically did that kind of stuff. So in my opinion, it was great job! I would highly recommend this to any summer student or someone who is looking for part time. There's nothing crazy about it and you learn quite a bit!
Learn how to professionally communicate with people. Discounted treats. Many skills to be learned!!!
Sometimes rude customers but that goes with any job usually.
