This position is responsible for supporting needs analysis, process design, cost benefit analysis, implementation, change management, and project management of assigned projects. The Analyst works within project teams, adheres to schedules, and reports status within the scope of project work. They are also responsible for executing within multiple projects at the direction of the Senior Analysts and the Manager. The Analyst may also mentor and cross-train junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops process maps, business requirements, data models, and process performance metrics
  • Assists in the identification and analysis of business improvements
  • Monitors systems of measure
  • Supports the delivery of project deliverables
  • Observes base lining and net improvement measurements
  • Interviews subject matter experts
  • Ensures quality assurance at all points of the project delivery cycle
  • Provides input and assessment of project related operations and risk
  • Follows internal best practices and processes
  • Provides input into internal operational improvements
  • Facilitates and/or attends necessary meetings, interviews and/or workshops while providing role appropriate input and feedback
  • Assists with presenting schedule and budget status to project sponsors, owners, and stakeholders
  • Assists facilitating subject matter expert meetings and reviews
  • Supports the preparation and presentation of status reports to requesting parties
  • Ad-hoc project communication as required by project plans / reporting
  • Peer review of junior team members’ work

  • Support and enhance URS Flint Safe Work and Safety practices
  • Support the completion and delivery of weekly and monthly report status of self and team activities to the Intermediate Analyst, Senior Analyst, Manger, and stakeholders
  • Execute project quality assurance

Job Requirements

  • Ability to translate business needs, root causes, and systemic issue resolution into multiple solutions that align to business processes and organizational goals
  • Review, revise, and re-engineer existing as-is business operations to improve stability, flexibility, and reduce non-value add activities
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar Quality methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Project Management fundamentals
  • Continual desire to improve using the latest methods and tools
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • Familiarity with cross-training concepts
  • Proficient English writing skills
  • Excellent English listening and communications skills
  • Proficiency in the use of related computer applications including:

o MS Visio (Beginner - Intermediate)
o (Other) Processing modeling tool / BPM suite (Beginner)
o MS Word (Beginner)
o MS Excel (Beginner - Intermediate)
o MS PowerPoint (Beginner)
o MS SharePoint (Beginner)
o Adobe Acrobat Professional (Beginner)

  • Travel is required
  • Minimum of College Diploma / Certification College / Diploma Certification preferred in the areas of Business Process Management, Process Improvement, Lean Methodologies, Continuous Improvement, Business Management
  • Post-Secondary Degree preferred (Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science)
  • Or equivalent professional experience
  • Preferred (job role related, Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL)
  • Minimum of 0-3 years’ experience required
