interesting and challenging place to work
Transportation Training and Business Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Concord, ON21 July 2017
Managing union and non union employees. typically discussing methods and expectations ensuring the work is getting done satisfactory. analyzing and planning the dispatch of drivers to ensure all customer freight is picked up at the appointment time. Many great experiences at UPS with the challenges and the problem solving that happens day to day. constantly looking at ways to improve efficiencies and communicating with the personnel. Personnel have a positive attitude working together and keeping morale high. overall a good place to work.

Cover Driver (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB20 July 2017
Only take this job if your desperate, as the management here can be a pain in the donkey. When you first start out its not bad and everyone will help you. Once you obtain Full salary that's when everything goes downhill and will stay there until you can't take it anymore and find the desire to look for new work. If it were not for the Union you will find it hard to work here.
Pros
there are none
Cons
long hours especially during peak season.

Cherry-picker
Picker/Packer (Former Employee) –  Burlington, ON18 July 2017
Using Cherry-picker to pick orders for shipping. Good job, but not enough money. A lot of part-time work, not too many full-time jobs. They like to use Job Placement Agencies.

Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Oakville, ON11 July 2017
It was not an easy job. I knew nothing about the workings of this job and I did not have any employees when I started and only had one for a short period of time who did not know anything about the job as well. I was basically put into a position where there was very little chance of success.

I currently still work here. Hours that UPS offers are not more than 5 hours per night. I have the opportunity of working as a forklift operator, loading trucks, and scanning boxes.

Part Time Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON12 June 2017
UPS is a good job but one that needs a strong individual. The stress level is very high, and if you are not one who does well under pressure or gets angry quickly than this is not the place for you.
