UPS is currently looking for Full Time Outside Sales Representatives to work in Vancouver and its surrounding areas.
As a self-driven Outside Sales Representative, you are responsible for achieving your assigned sales plan by generating profitable UPS revenue growth through the development of new business and the retention of existing businesses within your territory. This position analyzes customers’ current supply chain needs to create appropriate solutions and promptly respond to customers’ requests.
The primary focus of this position is to conduct face-to-face customer meetings, initiate sales calls and prospecting. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will look for prospective customers, conduct meetings and gather information. You will need to analyze customer shipping requirements and propose technology solutions. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will build relationships with key stakeholders, and generates revenue opportunities across all product and service lines. Pre-sale duties include preparing action plans and customized presentations, and performing pre-call research and analysis. Post-sale duties include ensuring smooth implementation and account setup, and training customers on UPS technology solutions, billing analysis tools, and packaging techniques. At the same time, you will also respond to internal and external customer concerns or problems, determine corrective actions, and/or assign response personnel.
A secure and reliable form of transportation is required as customer locations can be far from one another.
The Outside Sales Representative is a home-office based position, but will be required to travel within the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley areas regularly.

All candidates are required to have the following key Competencies, Abilities and Skills:
- Post-secondary graduate with a background in or a combination of Sales, Marketing or Commerce;
- Experience in Business-To-Business (B2B) Sales and Marketing is preferred but not necessary;
- Past experience in the logistics or transportation industry is an asset;
- Exceptional communications skills, leveraging the Internet and other information technology tools to engage customers;
- Proficient in the use of office suite or other productivity suite software, with advanced aptitude in spreadsheet application;
- Experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software or similar Contact Management System application is an asset;
All candidates must successfully complete an online sales career aptitude test, a series of interviews including a panel interview and a criminal history records background check in order to qualify.
