One of Ottawa and Toronto’s leading Hospitality & Entertainment groups is now expanding and opening new positions and opportunities at its head office. One of the positions that we are filling is as an Event Manager. We will be filling this position with an internship competition.

The position will require the candidate to work with the Marketing & Events Department, keeping records of meetings, assigning and overseeing tasks and deliverables, keeping calendars, managing contact software, managing project manager software, filing expenses, building budgets, preparing advances, dealing with suppliers and contractors, writing contracts, data mining, research and input, managing events onsite, building work templates in excel & word and coordinating communication between department members.

We are looking for a young, polished, energetic, outgoing and driven person that is not afraid of new and tough challenges, that is a great team worker, that has an understanding of the entertainment and hospitality industry as well as marketing.

The candidate should have the following qualifications in order to apply for this position:
- Expert with Microsoft Word
- Expert with Microsoft Excel
- Expert with Microsoft Outlook
- Expert with Google
- Understanding of Marketing
- Extensive knowledge of event management
- Computer savvy
- Bilingual (not a requisite but considered an advantage)
- Driver’s License

The internship competition will last 90 days, three chosen candidates will receive $150.00 per week and the best candidate at the end of the 90 days will receive the full time position.
