As a Community Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible to help create brand awareness for Tutor Doctor within the community through local networking, guerilla marketing efforts and events. You will also assist the Tutor Coordinator to publicize tutoring opportunities with Tutor Doctor to potential tutor candidates to ensure the current tutor roster is at capacity.

Market & build brand awareness for Tutor Doctor
Assist the Tutor Coordinator with tutor recruitment
Conduct research, planning & logistical coordination of Tutor Doctor's participation in family-oriented community events
Build proactive media relations and outreach recommendations that utilize both traditional and social media channels
Manage the The WHY Factor community outreach program
Office administrative assistance when needed

Degree/diploma (or in progress) or equivalent work experience in a relevant field
Proficient in Microsoft Office & current technology applications
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Strong organization, planning and research skills
Self-starter; results-oriented, assertive and energetic
Work well alone, as-well-as in team environment
Must be proficient in the use of all social media outlets
Own transportation and willing to travel locally
Willing to work occasional evenings and/or weekends for special events


  • Part-time - Minimum of 12-18 hours per week (Events extra) - 6 Month Contract to start
  • Working schedule can be flexible (days & times)
  • Compensation: $13/hr
  • Office is located in Uxbridge, Ontario (Office Hours Mon - Fri 10am - 4pm)
