Providing onsite advice and guidance to Senior Management on steps and legislative requirements related to a variety of staffing activities including advertised and non-advertised processes, assignments, Casuals and Students.
§ Reviewing organizational needs and business needs to assist in the identification of the appropriate staffing strategy or plans (including links to other plans such as the Employment Equity and Diversity Plan and the Official Languages Plan).
Working closely with the Senior Management and Corporate HR in priority clearance requests and assessment of Priorities, providing advice and guidance different types of merit criteria/qualifications for interviews, written exams and reference checks, while respecting the Work Force Adjustment policy
§ Support Directors and Managers in the development of staffing documentation such as statements of merit criteria, advertisement notices, and the required selection tool evaluation documents including selection board interview questionnaires, related rating guides, and reference questionnaires.
Assisting Directors and Managers with screening of applicants, reviewing and scoring written examination results and participate on selection boards including candidate interviews and references
Assisting Directors and Managers in summarizing appointment results and providing candidate debriefings during the appointment process, when required
Completion of a degree from a recognized institution in a related field, such as human resources, social sciences or other related field is required
Designation as a Certified Human Resources Professional or PSC/AFKT certification, is required is required
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience working within the Federal Public Service in staffing under the new Public Service Employment Act
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in conducting staffing processes for SG-SRE positions
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in conducting staffing processes for AS positions.
Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in preparing assessment grids for interviews, exams and reference checks for staffing processes (casuals, indeterminate and term positions).
Demonstrated recent experience assessing priority candidates within a WFA environment
Experience with collective staffing in Health Canada, is an asset
