Job Title: Family Support Worker
Reporting to: Director of Health & Wellness
Department: Health & Wellness
Compensation: $27,300 - $34,125/annually (depending on qualifications and experience)

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week/3 weeks per month/8:30 am – 4:30 pm

The Tsay Keh Dene First Nation is located in the Rocky Mountain Trench, approximately 575 km north of Prince George, B.C. The Tsay Keh Dene Nation’s Territory is comprised of 862.2 hectares bordered by the Williston Reservoir, the Finlay Forest Service Road and the Finlay River. The band membership of Tsay Keh Dene is approximately 400 and the administration is based out of two band offices located in Prince George and Tsay Keh Dene.

Tsay Keh Dene Nation is looking for a motivated, highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Worker who would like to join our team for a rewarding experience in our Health and Wellness Department.

Based out the Prince George office and working between Prince George and Tsay Keh Dene, the Family Support Worker will work in Tsay Keh Dene for two weeks and Prince George for one week each month. With a focus on family development from a strength-based approach the Family Support Worker will provide information as well as support for knowledge and skill development to help families gain self-reliance. Within program guidelines, he/she will gather information and assess family function problems and, develop and implement intervention plans. He/she will provide client services to help clients address issues related to family including referrals, support and guidance as well as assist with problem solving skill development. Specifics involve providing parenting skill development, emotional support and constructive feedback to clients. Other related duties may be assigned by the Director of Health and Wellness.


  • Completion of a Degree in Human Services, Social Work or Child and Youth Care.
  • Diploma in Social Work with a minimum of three related certifications will be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in family support work.
  • Training in Rainbows Grief and Loss Facilitation will be an asset.
  • Criminal record check clearance
