REPORTS TO: Commercial Installation Manager
DEPARTMENT: Commercial Installation
JOB STATUS: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

We are searching for an enthusiastic and eager candidate that is willing to join a growing team in the telecommunication industry. This position will be a support role for the department manager, coordinators, and field technicians. The ideal candidate will work well as part of a team but can also work independently when the work warrants it. Strong organizational skills will be required as well as the ability to meet a variety of changing deadlines while always exhibiting effective communication ability. A strong working knowledge of Excel and Outlook will be beneficial to this candidate.

HEALTH & SAFETY:

  • Will be expected to work safely by abiding by the rules of the company (IHSA and Labour Canada)
  • Must participate in all Health and Safety efforts.

DUTIES: (not limited to)

  • Receive new work orders and record them into job spreadsheets
  • Print new work orders and organize into work folder(s)
  • Scanning, Photocopying, File Organization as required
  • Correspond with customers when necessary (email/telephone)
  • Format completed reports for input to payment system
  • Use existing templates to complete disciplinary letters
  • Take and prepare minutes for departmental meeting
  • Collect completed work orders from field technicians
  • Sort job documentation into appropriate packages for invoicing preparation
  • Check timesheets from field technicians against automated work reports (make changes where required)
  • Type & distribute deparmental memos
  • Correspond with field technicians
  • Check contractor invoicing for code compliance

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrates initiative
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Displays problem-solving and basic decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and with computers in general
  • Office experience is an asset
