Given the current state of world oil prices, global economics, and the current political ruling parties it is time to leave the Oilfield behind and start a new career.

Senior Purchasing Agent (Former Employee) –  Nisku, AB25 May 2017
Being at the cusp of technological advances in the drilling industry allowed for a large learning curve in electrical and electronic products. The holes we worked were some of the most challenging, and that lead to innovative thinking.
Pros
A place in a changing industry

Long hours

Seasonal Assistant Foreman (Current Employee) –  Nisku, AB17 March 2017
Working on the rigs is decent money, it's definitely not what it used to be. Too much paper work now that you're forced to fill out so it cover's Trinidad's *ss. Also the only industry/company I know that gives 4 monthly pay cuts across the board, try doing that in a trade industry like plumbing, electrician, etc. The fact that most of the employees are from Eastern Canada and Trinidad doesn't pay for flights or accommodation makes it another horrible place to work. Do your self a favor, stay in school and research other career paths. There is a reason most people last 2-3 years with Trinidad then end up finding something more enjoyable.
Pros
Money
Cons
Everything else
