We have full-time opportunities available for Business Development Associates in the Greater Toronto Area to arrange business meetings through direct contact with a broad scope of clients in the Energy, Financial Services, Retail and Health Care industry segments. This is a downtown Toronto-based opportunity.

To succeed in this role you must have excellent telephone skills and be adept at reaching the “C” level suite of decision makers. You will be energized and thrive on the challenges of achieving your goals and be confident and resilient in facing resistance and overcoming obstacles.
You will be engaging, charismatic and articulate, enjoy working as part of a team but also disciplined while working independently and interacting with like-minded professionals on the telephone.
As a successful professional you must possess the ability to conduct business-to-business telephone conversations with C-Level executives of major corporations and be able to develop rapport and establish a free-flowing dialogue with the prospect.
Some prospecting lead generation skills training is provided, but you will need to bring your positive attitude, professionalism, problem-solving skills and “can do” attitude.
Your Specific Job responsibilities:
(1) Perform outbound calls to C-Level Executives and key decision-makers of major corporations.
(2) Set quality meetings utilizing a conversational approach that uncovers and qualifies new business opportunities.
(3) Develop a good understanding of our client’s business, their unique business challenges and the competitive landscape in their industry.
(4) Work with our Executive Sales team to optimize these meetings for content, timeliness and effectiveness.
Skills and Qualifications:
Individuals will be familiar with the MS Office suite of products, Salesforce.com CRM, and OneSource prospecting databases.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of successful experience managing, leading, selling to, conversing with or prospecting C Level contacts at mid-market companies, large companies, and Fortune 500 companies.
Demonstrated ability to deliver a strong eloquent value proposition, understand and qualify a client’s needs, assess business issues/pain points, and set qualified sales meetings.
Business-to-Business direct-marketing experience.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills; articulate and creative.
Reliable, strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised.
A sense of urgency. Committed to do what it takes to get the job done.
Good judgment and excellent decision-making skills.
Assertive, financially driven and a self-starter.
University degree preferred.
