The Commercial Leasing Representative is a highly qualified individual with experience over a broad range of commercial properties, preferably with experience in office/retail. The Leasing Representative will be responsible for leasing activities of assigned properties within the region, to meet and exceed established targets and objectives. In addition, the Leasing Representative will monitor market activity and advise on potential business opportunities. This position reports directly to the Vice President.
Leasing of vacant space in the Greater Vancouver area, leasing of development projects, tenant rep mandates.
Maintain a complete, ongoing understanding of the retail and office commercial real estate markets with emphasis on current regional lease rates, occupancy and future trends. Initial role would benefit from knowledge of the retail and office markets of Downtown Vancouver and Burnaby markets
Gathering and analyzing market data to ensure that decisions can be made in a timely and confident manner
Assist the Vice President in identifying and analyzing potential new opportunities in a variety of local markets
Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports and setting annual leasing budget plans
Other duties as required
University or College Graduate preferably in Business or Real Estate
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in the field of commercial real estate research or leasing/sales
Must have BC Real Estate Trading Services license.
Knowledge and proficiency in the areas of leasing, contracts and financial analysis are essential
Relationship Skills -- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to work closely with, develop and sustain strong cooperative working relationships with the brokerage community
Sales skills- Superior sales ability and above average relationship building skills.
Organizational/Multi-Task Skills - Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands, competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and constant changes; teachable, willing to learn and be in a dynamic environment
Decision Making Skills -- Identify and analyze problems; take decisive actions and risks when needed
Computer Skills -- Advanced skills in Excel and Word and adobe
