Trillium Therapeutics Inc. (TSX: TR) is a Toronto-based immuno-oncology company developing innovative therapies for the treatment of cancer. Our lead program, SIRPaFc, is an antibody-like fusion protein that blocks the activity of CD47, a molecule that is upregulated on bulk tumor cells and cancer stem cells in acute myeloid leukemia and other malignancies.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Research & Development group as a Research Scientist. Reporting to the Vice President, Drug Development, the successful candidate will be a researcher with a strong background in cellular immunology and oncology, keen analytical skills, experience managing technical staff in an industry environment and a desire to work in a fast-paced small biotech environment. He/she will be expected to work independently at the bench and lead a small group of research associates, drawing on a deep knowledge of the relevant literature to solve complex problems and communicate effectively with internal and external collaborators.
- PhD degree
- Minimum of three years industry experience
- Strong background in immunology and oncology
- Extensive experience in cellular immunology, cell-based assays and flow cytometry
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Supervisory experience
