Preferably, have lived in Canmore for a minimum of 3 years
Must have minimum 2 years of experience as a front desk supervisor
Strong communication skills, interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Able to perform clerical duties (faxing, photocopying, keyboarding)
Comfortable using – Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook Express Email
Job task planning and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to solve problems, make decisions and be resourceful
Work well with others and under minimal supervision

Objectives and Activities
Work with Director of Administration on various tasks as assigned in a timely manner; including daily FIT inventory management, organizing and gathering payroll information, updating manuals and policies, ensuring all departments run in a smooth manner and have any assistance needed, inventory and ordering of office and housekeeping supplies, training of new staff members, maintaining and retraining on hotel procedures as needed, FIT billing and remittances, monthly balancing of sales summaries, etc.
Guest interaction (in person, over the phone, written communication)
Create, cancel and change room reservations
Provide information about our services and facilities and about Canmore in general
Continuously responding to Guest needs proactively and energetically
Investigate and resolve complaints and claims
Managing incoming reservations
Register arriving Guests and assign rooms
Process group/individual arrivals and departures
Calculate charges and receive payments, balance cash and daily reconciliation
Continuously communicate and co-operate with all team members
Employ systems and technology as required in serving our guests

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Fast paces environment, must be able to work under pressure
Physically demanding
Performing light housekeeping duties (laundry and cleaning of lobby)

Starting salary $35,000 yearly plus bonuses
F/T 40+ hours a week, days, evenings and through weekends
